The sun is made of 2 spheres and a disk (no, not the real Sun). The 1st sphere has the fireball.itx with noise function on. The 2nd sphere a little bit larger is a fog object with fogpaint.itx and ghost.itx. The disk has fireball.itx and blast.itx. I applied the contrast fx to make the picture look a little better. It even looks great animated.
